This past Sunday, January 22nd, 2023, we got a glimpse of what God meant when he said this in Revelation 21:5

“And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, 'Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true. '” 

God has started something new at Covenant Church --- something "new and right and beautiful" to quote NT Wright.

At 10:00 AM, at our typical English speaking worship service, Pastor Peter Carrion (Pastor of the Spanish Church Plant) joined us along with his daughter and several members of their leadership team.  Peter gave us an update on the Spanish Church plant and a testimony of how this relationship with Covenant was an answer to several years of prayer.   We truly felt the power of the Holy Spirit as we worshipped God together in our morning worship service.  In this service we remembered God's call to Abraham and how this calling was for a purpose. 

"We are Blessed in order to be a Blessing!"

A special moment in the service came when leaders of the English Speaking church laid hands on the Spanish Speaking Team leaders and their children, and children from the English speaking church community said, "Jesus Loves You!" in Spanish to our newest brothers & sisters in Christ.

Peter Carrion and his team did a wonderful job setting up the Gym for their worship service that began at 1:00 PM on Sunday afternoon.   About 40 people showed up for this inaugural worship service.

We are so excited to see how God continues to bring our two church communities together as we share one vision to "Make Disciples of all nations" and One LORD, One Faith and One Baptism.

May God continue to Bless us in order to be a Blessing to the Woodstock community and beyond!
