Hello brothers & sisters,

Marlene emailed out our Covenantor Newsletter updating us on our church finances.   I'm including that in this blog to remind you of the options provided to us to continue our giving at Covenant.

Although we know that the effects of COVID have probably put a financial strain on some of our church family members, we ask you to continue to remember the financial needs of our church as well.  We also encourage members to give to our Deacons causes.   You will just have to let Marlene know what amount you want to go to the budget and the amount for the deacons.  As the deacons receive funds, they will discuss how and when to distribute them. We have various options that are available.  

 1) You can sign up for PAR (pre-authorized remittance) 

PAR is a “direct debit” program that allows people to give through an automatic monthly withdrawal from their bank account.  This option simply requires the filling in of the PAR form (which is also attached), along with your bank information.  This is a very easy and quick option that once is put in place requires no other work.  If you need to change your amount or cancel at any time, just let Marlene know at the office and she can quickly send it in.  There are no fees at all.  If you require more information regarding this option or need help setting it up, just call the church office at 519-539-6211 or Marlene’s cell at 519-535-3481.  Once you have filled out the form, you can either attach a void cheque or your banking information and drop into the mailslot which has been set up by the front door.  You can also call Marlene at the office and give her your account information over the phone if you prefer.

2) You can send an e-transfer to the church.  Just set up Covenant CRC as a recipient and email donations to woodcovtreasurer@gmail.com.  If you need help setting up this option you can contact either Meeke Claus or Marlene at the office.  

3) You can drop off your donations at the church during office hours.  Tuesday & Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  We now have a secure mail slot that you will be able to use to drop off envelopes with cheques in them at the church by the front door.

Each week we will be posting the amounts received for both the Budget and the Deacons. And remember, that if you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to call the church office.
